Principal's Message

 

Dear Annehurst Elementary Families,

I hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and joyful summer with your families and friends. It is with great excitement and heartfelt gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Annehurst Elementary. I am truly honored to join this incredible community and to begin this journey of partnership, growth, and shared purpose with each of you.

As an educator and leader, I believe that schools thrive when relationships are strong, communication is open, and every child is known, loved, and challenged. From everything I’ve already come to learn about Annehurst, it is clear that this is a place full of care, commitment, and pride—a place where students are supported not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well. I am eager to build on that strong foundation together.

I am also thrilled to introduce our new Assistant Principal, D'Metria Alston, who brings a wealth of experience in elementary education and a passion for building inclusive, engaging learning environments. We are both deeply committed to supporting our students, partnering with families, and working alongside our dedicated staff to ensure that this year is filled with joy, achievement, and connection.

We look forward to meeting each of you in the coming weeks—whether at one of our Back to School events, drop-off and pick-up, or during the many events and celebrations that bring our school together. Please know that our doors are always open, and we welcome your thoughts, questions, and ideas as we begin this exciting new chapter.
