WELCOME TO THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR!

Dear Annehurst All-Stars Families and Students,

Welcome back to another amazing school year at Annehurst Elementary! This year we welcome the “Class of 2039” to Kindergarten!  While our 5th graders, “Class of 2034,” will take over as our building leaders and set the tone for what it means to “Shine Bright” with the All-Star 5! We are honored to be entrusted with educating your children and we will do everything in our power to give them the best educational experience possible. Part of what makes a school great is the engagement of our families and community. Below is information on various back-to-school events for students and families as we get ready for the new school year!

IMPORTANT DATES AND TIMES

First Day of School:

Tues.: August 18, 2026    Students in grades 1-5

Tues., Weds., Thurs.: August  18, 19, 20, 2026 KDG Gentle Start (KDG Students attend ONE of these days)

Fri.:   August 21, 2026    ALL Kindergarten Students

 

Back to School Day: Mon., August 10th, anytime between 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or  4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

During Back to School Days, families will be able to pay school fees (online, cash, check), learn the assigned teacher(s) for their student(s) and receive additional information about the upcoming school year. We will also have a Food Services representative available to answer questions about school breakfast/lunch and, if necessary, help parents complete free and reduced lunch applications. Lastly, the PTA will be giving out this year’s FREE school t-shirt to students!

 

Meet the Teacher Day: Mon., August 17^th, 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This event is a time for students and families to come and meet your teacher, take a sneak peek at classrooms, and drop off school supplies.

**Given limited parking space available at Annehurst, we encourage families to walk to school (if possible) or utilize street parking in nearby neighborhoods.

 

Popsicles on the Playground with the Principal! Mon., August 17^th, 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

After Meet the Teacher, join Principal Fullen on the playground and cool off with a popsicle courtesy of the Annehurst Elementary PTA! This is a great opportunity to see old friends, meet new ones, and for families to connect with one another!

 

Curriculum Night (Incoming Kindergartners):  Thurs., August 13^th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Curriculum Night (Grades 1st - 5th):  Thurs., September 3^rd Curriculum Night is an opportunity for families to connect with their teachers and learn about the curriculum and routines of the classroom, along with ways to support your student this school year!  

1st and 2nd Grades:  6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

School Picture Day:  September 21^st

Picture Packets will be sent home prior to Picture Day.

PowerSchool Parent Portal

Returning Students: Parents and guardians of returning students already should have created a PowerSchool Parent Portal account to access student information. Please contact our school office if you have forgotten your login information.

New Students: For families of students who are new to our district, please contact the school office to access your PowerSchool account information!

 

IMPORTANT! You must complete the following forms online in the PowerSchool Parent Portal:

• Student Information Verification
• Medical Information
• Parent Permissions
• Contact Information

 

Simply log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal for EACH STUDENT and click the “Forms” icon to the left. All forms must be completed prior to Back to School Days. The PowerSchool Parent Portal opens July 27, 2026.

 

2026-2027 SCHOOL FEES

Kindergarten: $22.00 Grade 1: $40.00        Grade 2: $40.00     Grade 3: $40.00       Grade 4: $40.00         Grade 5: $40.00

Families need to pay their grade-level fees by cash or check (made payable to WBOE) prior to or during Back to School Days. Fees may also be paid online by credit card. Simply go to www.wcsoh.org and click on PaySchools Central under the Resources section.
